Will you be leading a team as an Untangler Sales Manager?
Untangle, a red hot leader in Security Network Management is seeking a high energy, experienced sales manager. Use your management skills to lead a team of account executives to achieve and exceed our sales plan.  You and your team will work leads developed by our marketing activities. If you want to sell a killer SAAS solution that customers love and you want to make a difference driving our business to new heights, then read on. We’re looking for seasoned “hunters”, not “farmers” in the SMB marketplace.  This is a critical role for someone who is a leader, self-motivated, and able to manage a team in order to achieve and exceed our sales plans. You should be knowledgeable of the firewall/filtering space.

You’ll be working right in the heart of sunny downtown San Jose, California at our headquarters.
You'll be excited to:

  • Motivate a sales team to nurture leads and interest through email, phone, and social prospecting
  • Manage individual and team pipelines, forecasts and meet achievements
  • Stay abreast of Untangle product offerings and maintain team awareness
  • Partner with marketing to deliver Go-to-Market initiatives
  • Crisply articulate Untangle's business and product solution benefits 
  • Engage in value solution-centered dialogue with key decision-makers to discover their needs and goals
  • Train your team to sharpen their sales skills, improve closing rates and be accountable to metrics
  • Facilitate successful customer meetings and execute demo presentations
  • Educate customers on technical requirements, pricing, training, and successful implementation of the product during and after the sales process
  • Follow up after team and individual sales to achieve referrals, grow business, and ensure customer satisfaction ratings
  • Successfully collaborate with the renewal team manager to achieve a strong rate of retention
  • Create and execute strategic sales plans in conjunction with management
  • Gather customer feedback to company to assist in product planning

Your wheelhouse must include:

  • BA/BS or equivalent experience
  • Proven 6-8 years sales track record experience in technology sales
  • Fruitful development skills toward lasting customer relationships 
  • Consistency to meet or exceed sales quota
  • Ability to work independently and have ownership of a team
  • Understand the current needs of the Security landscape
  • Comfort with demonstrating and presenting technology products
  • Comprehensive experience using
  • Strong negotiation skills with deadline and detailed parameters
  • Informed of market trends and changes, awareness of new technology and how it plays a role with or against Untangle
